GameDay Model

From the game outlook to player projections—and from kickoff to the final review.

GameDay Analytics Lab brings game context, player opportunity, and matchup analysis into a consistent weekly process. Our goal is to give you a clear pregame outlook, then measure how it performs on the field.

HOW IT WORKS

Our process

  1. Set the game environment

We review historical performance, recent trends, matchups, and weather to build an outlook for each game: projected scoring, pace, and likely game flow.

  2. Project player performance

We use those game environments to simulate player performance, taking expected roles, opportunities, and matchups into account. The results inform player projections, prop outlooks, and touchdown outlooks.

  3. Review and lock projections

We check injuries and player availability before kickoff, review late updates, and finalize each game’s projections. Once the game begins, those projections stay fixed for evaluation.

  4. Track and learn

We follow game progress and compare final results with the pregame outlook. Postgame reviews help us evaluate accuracy and improve future weeks without rewriting past predictions.
